Riverside Rescue takes in around 400 dogs and cats annually, which strains our budget. Unfortunately, pet relinquishment continues to rise due to various economic factors, making it difficult for some to afford food, supplies, and veterinary care. For many, the choice can come down to maintaining housing or keeping their pets.

For the past 23 years, Riverside Rescue has worked diligently to maintain our no-kill nonprofit status. This commitment comes at a significant financial cost, as we rely heavily on donations and fundraisers.

Be sure to download (this will be included in your thank-you email), or download from the website, or stop by for a pledge form to collect pledges for this event. Bring the collected funds with you to the check-in table. Exciting prizes await top fundraisers, including gift cards, logo merchandise, and a spot on the Lobby Strides for Strays Engraved Plaque for the top pledger!

The schedule of events will be shared soon and emailed to you, as well as posted on our website and event pages. Some of the exciting activities we have planned include: music, food, beginner-friendly agility and obedience competitions, K9 demonstrations, a pet parade, and a costume contest. Participation in these activities will be by donation. Don't forget to check out our vendor village as well!

**8:00 - 9:00 AM: Welcome!** - Sign in to pick up your goodie bag! - Submit your pledges and pick up your t-shirt and bandana.

**9:00 - 11:00 AM: Activities, Demos, Fun, and More!**

**10:00 AM: Walk/Fun Run Begins** - Walk Kick-Off! The walk is optional, so feel free to walk 1K, 2K, or 3K.

**11:00 AM: Winners Announced!** - Announcement of Walk Champions and Top Pledge-Raiser. - Raffle Winners will also be announced.

**Dog Policy:** Dogs are welcome to join! They must be on a leash and under your control at all times. There will be dog waste bags available, so please pick up after your dog. Any dogs showing uncontrolled aggression will be asked to leave. Additionally, dogs must be current on vaccinations for everyone's safety.

*** Kid Policy*** Young children are welcome, but you must keep them under control at all times. They are not allowed to wander off, as there are other events happening at the fairgrounds on the same day. Not all dogs enjoy being around children, so it's important to explain to your children that some dogs may not appreciate their presence.

***Fees****

To participate in the fun run/walk, you must sign up and have a Strides for Strays T-shirt. The cost is $20 if you sign up by September 8th. After that date and on the day of the event, the fee will be $25. We recommend registering early to ensure we have enough T-shirts and bandanas available!

If you just want to come and enjoy the event without participating in the run/walk, there is no fee; however, please note that you won't be included in all the fun activities!
